Meet Jenna

I've always worked in the helping professions and have spent years advocating for others.
As a social worker, I've assisted people with mental health concerns, developmental disabilities, and HIV/AIDS.
I've tended to people with chronic medical and psychiatric conditions in their home as a visiting nurse.
As a small business owner, I educate and empower new moms and their families as a postpartum doula.
I also volunteer and serve on the board of Postpartum Support Charleston - a local non-profit near and dear to my heart.
Caring is in my blood.
My husband and I are proud to be teaching our two sons that kindness and empathy matter and that helping others is one of the greatest things we can do. Our family lives in Mount Pleasant and our sons attend public school. We love our community — its spirit, its people, and its potential.

I'm running for office because service isn’t just part of my job — it’s part of who I am.
After years of frustration watching career politicians ignore the needs of everyday people, I decided I couldn’t just sit on the sidelines anymore. I'm an advocate and I'll be a voice for our whole community, not just the loudest or the richest or the ones with the most connections. I'll fight for what's important to us in Columbia.
I won't assume what you need - I'll listen to what you say.
I'll ensure everyone in our district — regardless of party — feels seen, heard, and represented. I'll hold monthly coffee meetups, open office hours, and stay visible in the community. You’ll see me out and about, because being present and accessible is how public service should be done.
I pledge to:
Treat you with dignity and respect.
Keep it real, and really transparent. (With me, what you see is what you get.)
Represent you with compassion because I care.

"My approach to politics puts people first because people matter most."
